The Story Behind the Cover… and the Story Within

When Joe Gross Is Dead was ready for print, I was asked a simple question: “Why a plain white cover?”

At first, I had envisioned something darker—a row of old high school lockers with the title scratched across them in chalkboard font, a nod to the place where humiliation once shaped my identity.

But when I brought the options before the Lord, I heard His gentle response:
“The white one. The locker is your memory… but the white is Mine. I’ve washed the slate clean.”

That moment reminded me: this book isn’t just about the pain. It’s about redemption. It’s about the Divine encounter that gave me a new name, a new label, and a new life.

"To give them beauty for ashes... the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." —Isaiah 61:3

Maybe your story holds hidden scars too. Maybe it’s time to let God rewrite the label.
My story begins with Joe Gross… but it ends in freedom.
